Maintenance Failure

Well... What can I say... As you might have read from the title of the post, the maintenance was a failure.
Due to a power outage I lost a heapload of data of the website and I had to restore a older version. I lost
about half a gigabyte of website data, mostly in the folder where most settings and website imagery was
stored so all updates done to the "engine" was lost but I think I managed to save all the public pages.
If there is anything missing there isn't much I can to at the time.
I will have to do with this version for now, but when I have time I will take down the website for about a
week and do the procedure more careful and apply the new updates that will be availible at that time. For now
I managed to atleast apply the most recent important updates to the EverGlade Standard Code of this website.
But as I said the website has been reverted to an older version so all the functions I have added recently
 have been lost.

Weekend Downtime

This weekend (September 17th - September 19th) Green's Abode will be taken down for maintenance.
I will update the design and the EverGlade Standard Code to the latest version (v2.1.3.9) since
the current code (v2.1.0.0) has become really outdated. All serivces hosted on GreensAbode.com
will also be down during the maintenance, including the Buttonizer.

Formatting stylesheet

In my previous update I mentioned the flaws on the website due to the formatting
stylesheet located at EverGlade.biz. That has been fixed with a local version of
that stylesheet, so the website will look as it should now.

A quick update

As you might have noticed I have not been able to update the website, nor the blog.
The reason for this is that while I was designing all of our company websites I noticed that
most of the websites did strive too far away from our brand image and that to few similarites
between them. As a company you want to build a strong brand and that is hard if there is no
resemblance between the websites. But I am still hard at work and hopefully soon there will be
some releases since some of them are nearing completion (again). I will soon post a release
 schedule on my blog.
You might also have noticed that there is some flaws in Green's Abode design such as borders
around the logo and such, this is because almost all of our websites relies on a special formatting
stylesheet located on everglade.biz and since that website is down due to the pre-release maintenace
procedure. So it makes the stylesheet unreachable.

Episode 5: The Green Strikes Back

I have returned from the hiatus. I am finally feeling better.
So all the EverGlade Group of Companies services are up and running again.
Whilst being sick I didn't exactly sleep all day, I have actually been working (so much for the doctor's
 prescription).
First off, I did a little mistake when I told you what version of Green's Abode I was working on. I was working on
version v5.3 and on v5.5. Sure, v5.5 is a much bigger release and it is basically a redesign of the whole page
but I am not working on that page as much as I was working on this release. So, what's been changed then?
Well. I have made the design a tad bit smaller so that it fit 1024x768 screen resolutions, further more I have
updated the design a little with some subtle changes like changed the font on most of the page as well as added
a small gradient on the title bar and so forth. I will leave the rest of the design changes for you to discover.

the EverGlade Group of Companies on hiatus

Since about a year back I have ben solely responisble for the EverGlade Group of Companies and all of its companies,
divisions, projects and services. Due to that we, the administrators at the EverGlade Group of Companies have decided
that we will try to focus on our studys and on other freelance work so that we can financially support the company since
this is a privatly financed corporation. But since a couple of weeks back I have had a constant migraine that will not go
away and keeps getting worse so I have decided that now that will not go away and is worsening everyday I have decided to
put the company on a temporary hiatus. That means that we will not accept any new projects, we will currently not
work on any current projects but we will try to come up with ideas for new projects even if we will not work
 activly with them.

Time to vanish for a while

I will not be able to update the site much in March because the EverGlade Network sites are nearing
completion and I will have to focus my attention to them so I will not be able to work on Green's Abode or
the Buttonizer Project for a while, which in case means that the site and the blog will go un updated
for a while. But when I return I have scheduled a new major update of the site, but
that will probably not happen before the end of March and beginning of April.

New section of the website and maintenance.

I have just added a new section to the website, its called random. What does it contain? well random stuff like Quiz Results,
Flash Games and my collections of random junk. Also, this sunday (February 21th) I'll have to make some changes to the code of
the website and therefore the website might not work as it should and some sections might be disabled during the maintenance.
However it should only be down during sunday.

Delaying the optimizing of the website.

As I have much work left with the websites in EverGlade Networks I'll delay the optimizing of
the website for Internet Explorer and Opera for a while. The website still works in all major
browsers but it isn't as pretty in IE or Opera.

I'm back and what's this? Green's Abode is actually GREEN?!

Yeah, its been a while since I've had this website up. So let's start with the good news. We have finally moved to the company servers. And I now have a fresh new design and it's a lot more streamlined and it is overall better coded.
So, what's the bad news? Well, I made this website for Mozilla and Webkit engines so it will not look as good in Internet Explorer or in Opera.
There are just some minor things left to do.
